Greenway Walk and Historic Tour

Poster for 2015 Tri-Community Greenway Walk and Tour
We are on for Saturday at 2pm!  See you there!!

Join us for a historic tour of the future Greenway in Stoneham on June 13 at 2 pm.

The Tour is led and is free. Families, and leashed pets welcome.

Come learn about the coming Greenway (being built next year) and little known historical tidbits about the town and surrounding area.  Did you know that Stoneham was once home to more than one car factory?

The walk will begin at the trail head on Gould Street, Stoneham. We will continue to the Woburn Tunnel.  From there walkers can continue to Montvale Avenue or return to Gould Street via Maple Street and Franklin Street.

Terrain: The Greenway will be built next year. Much of the trail is unpaved terrain, so may be difficult for those with mobility issues although strollers have managed it previously). There may be poison ivy in a few spots so we urge everyone to wear long pants and closed shoes.
